American Inn

We were a family of 4 adults. We had 2 rooms. The beds were very large, plenty of room to spread out. The rooms were also very large, so plenty of room for luggage. Air conditioning was very welcome as was fridge. Location was convenient for the train station to go in to New Haven. Parking space outside the room so easy for luggage.

If you are looking for a clean, no frills, great location motel room book here. The value of your dollar for this roomy two bed motel room goes far. Also it was really close to Tweed New Haven Airport. Liked that you could park right in front of your motel room door and walk in. There was also a great diner, Sky Diner, right down the road from the motel. The staff was very helpful and the check-in process was quick.

Great location, we were able to park directly in front of our room, interiors were somewhat dated but very clean and in good condition, diner and grocery within walking distance, though I had stated that it was absolutely not a problem, the owner went to the store just to get the coffee creamer that I use and called me to say it was there. Just wow! We would absolutely stay there again if traveling in that area.

The place is perfect. Right off of rt. 95. The people are so nice. The place is clean and comfortable. Microwave and small refrigerator in room. Very reasonable priced. Shopping and donner within walking distamce

The motel is a short drive to a beach and to the Branford Trolley Trail, which is a pleasant place to walk. The Sky Diner across the street from the motel has good food for a decent price. Check-in was simple, it was quiet at night, the room was clean and spacious.
